The Alcazar of Seville (the royal palace) was one of my favorite highlights of the entire trip.
Behind the austere gate in the mostly dry city was a wonderful green surprise.

Seville's Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It's massive! Its altar is among the largest altars in the world, 20 m high and 23 m wide, and is gilded in gold.

Besides walking around Lisbon's old town, we did a guided tour (aaagh!)
to Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais.

After departing Lisbon we were at sea for the next full day
on the North Atlantic Ocean's Bay Of Biscay
and into the English Channel.
