   Very Fast (not for everyone):         "Marty Stuart Visits The Moon" by Marty Stuart   (152 bpm)

 

Notes:   This dance adapts well to a variety of songs and tempos, but it is most popular with the slower tempo songs. 

Please try this to your own choice of music, preferably a 32-count phrased song.  I have purposely listed only older

songs here because this dance was created as I look back 20 years:  I had my first line dance class 20 years ago...and

I haven’t stopped since!  Moon Time is dedicated to my first line dance instructor, Maxcy Moon.

 

 

            RIGHT KICK-BALL-CHANGE, RIGHT SHUFFLE FORWARD

1&2       Kick-ball-change:   Kick RIGHT forward, Step ball of RIGHT beside Left, Change weight to LEFT

3&4       Shuffle forward RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT:  Step RIGHT forward, Slide/Step LEFT beside Right, Step RIGHT forward

 

            LEFT KICK-BALL-CHANGE, LEFT SHUFFLE FORWARD

5&6       Kick-ball-change:   Kick LEFT forward, Step ball of LEFT beside Right, Change weight to RIGHT

7&8       Shuffle forward LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT:  Step LEFT forward, Slide/Step RIGHT beside Left, Step LEFT forward

 

            ROCK FWD-BACK, 2 SHUFFLES BACK, ROCK BACK-FWD

9-10      Step RIGHT forward, Rock back onto LEFT

11&12   Shuffle back RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT  * Option:  Shuffle back turning 1/2 right on RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT

13&14   Shuffle back LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT     * Turn another 1/2 right while shuffling on L-R-L    (12:00)

15-16    Step RIGHT back, Rock forward onto LEFT

 

            RIGHT KICK-BALL-CHANGE, SIDE, SLIDE TOGETHER;  REPEAT

17&18   Kick-ball-change:   Kick RIGHT forward, Step ball of RIGHT beside Left, Change weight to LEFT

19-20    Step RIGHT to right side, Slide/Step LEFT beside RIGHT

21&22   Kick-ball-change:   Kick R forward, Step ball of RIGHT beside Left, Change weight to LEFT

23-24    Step RIGHT to right side, Slide/Step LEFT beside Right

 

            FORWARD, BACK, BACK TURNING 1/2 RIGHT, HOLD

25         Step RIGHT forward

26         Rock Step back onto LEFT

27         Step RIGHT back turning 1/2 right

28         Hold

 

            FORWARD, BACK, BACK TURN 1/4 LEFT, HOLD

29         Step LEFT forward

30         Rock Step back onto RIGHT

31         Step LEFT back turning 1/4 left

32         Hold

 

End of pattern.  Begin again facing one wall right from original starting wall.
